Oilers Drop Opener

Northern Kentucky University demonstrated why they are the 21st-ranked team as they blanked the visiting Oilers 4-0 on Friday in the season opener for both squads.

The Norse peppered UF with 30 shots, 12 of which we on-goal. Matthew Brooks was able to turn-away eight shots from the Findlay net. NKU keeper Michael faced six UF shots, saving three.

Logan Lipinski and Shane McGee each attempted two shots for Findlay. NKU had four corner kicks and was whistled for two offsides, while the Oilers had two corners and one offside call.

UF returns to action on September 9 when they play host to Tiffin in a match scheduled for a 4:30pm kickoff.
