Oilers Lose to Northwood University on the road

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Northwood (Mich.) 2-1 on Sunday, September 29 in Midland, Michigan. 

The Oilers jumped out to a 1-0 lead when sophomore Mark Sleasman scored unassisted at the 10 minute mark. 

The Timberwolves tied it up when Gino Pasquali scored at the 45 minute mark.  His goal was assisted by Dalton Amez. 

The Timberwolves took the lead when Keaton Levock scored at the 77 minute mark of the game off of an assist by Laurence McKay.

The Timberwolves had the edge offensively with a 16-12 advantage in the shot department. 

Findlay goalkeepers Joe McClanahan and Alex Jurek took the loss in the net and McClanahan had five saves in the process. 

The Oilers, who are now 2-5-1 on the year and remain winless in GLIAC play, will face GLIAC foe Ohio Dominican University at DeHaven Field on October 4 at 1 p.m.
