Men's Soccer to Have 8 Home Games in 2014
The University of Findlay men's soccer team will have eight home games during the 2014 campaign and will begin their season on September 5 with a 5 p.m. contest against Quincy University at DeHaven Field. They will then host Tiffin University (4 p.m.) on September 12 before hitting the road for four straight games.
The Oilers road trip begins at Ohio Valley University (4 p.m.) on September 15 and continues on September 19 at Lake Erie College (2 p.m.). They will then travel to Ohio Dominican University (2 p.m.) on September 21 before ending on September 23 at Notre Dame College (4 p.m.).
Findlay returns to DeHaven Field to close out the opening month of competition on September 26 and 28 against Northwood University and Saginaw Valley State University. The Oilers will play the Timberwolves at 4 p.m. on 9/26 before hosting the Cardinals at 3 p.m. on September 28.
October begins with a 4 p.m. match at Malone University (10/3) followed by another road game at Walsh University (1 p.m.) on October 5. The Oilers will then have their final four home games of the season beginning with a 4 p.m. game against Ohio Dominican on October 10. They will then host Lake Erie College (12 p.m.) on October 10, Walsh University (4 p.m.) on October 17 and Malone University (12 p.m.) on October 19.
The Oilers will close their regular season with three straight road games beginning on October 24 at Saginaw Valley State University (2 p.m.). They will then face Northwood University (2:30 p.m.) on October 26 and then take on Tiffin University (2 p.m.) on October 31.
The 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament is scheduled for November 7-9 at a site to be determined.
