The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Walsh University 2-1 on Sunday, October 5 in Canton, Ohio. 

The Oilers jumped out to a 1-0 lead when junior Jared Lyon scored unassisted at the 25 minute mark. 

The Cavaliers tied up the contest when Simon Swales scored at the 43 minute mark. 

The Cavaliers took a 2-1 lead when Kain Melville scored at the 69 minute mark. 

Findlay goalkeeper Joe McClanahan took the loss in the net and had five saves in the process. 

The Oiles had the edge offensively with a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks, but were unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities. 

The Oilers, who are now 3-7 on the season with a 2-5 mark in GLIAC play, will face GLIAC rival Ohio Dominican University at DeHaven Field on Friday, October 10.
