UF Men's Soccer Releases 2015 Schedule
The University of Findlay men's soccer team will open their 2015 season in Quincy, Ill. against two nationally ranked programs in Quincy and Drury. They will play Quincy on Sep. 5 before battling Drury on Sep. 6. Quincy ended last season ranked 3rd nationally while Drury was ranked 23rd.
The Oilers will open GLIAC play on Sep. 11 at Tiffin before hosting Ohio Dominican on Sep. 18. They will then host Lake Erie on Sep. 20 before closing the opening month at Saginaw Valley State on Sep. 25 and Northwood, who ended last season ranked 25th in the nation, on Sep. 27.
The month of October begins with a home match against Walsh on Oct. 2. They will then host Malone on Oct. 4 before they hit the road for five straight games. They will open their road trip at Lake Erie on Oct. 9. They will also be at Ohio Dominican on Oct. 11, Malone on Oct. 16, Walsh on Oct. 18 and Concord on Oct. 20.
After their five-game road swing the Oilers return home to close out the regular season. They will play Northwood on Oct. 23 before hosting Saginaw Valley State on Oct. 25. They then end the regular season on Oct. 30 against Tiffin at DeHaven Field.
The 2015 GLIAC Tournament is slated for Nov. 6-8.
The Oilers ended the 2014 season with a 4-13 record under head coach Andy Smyth. The team will be led by senior Mark Sleasman, who was named second team al
l-conference last year. He was a first team all-conference performer for the Oilers in 2013 as well.
