The University of Findlay men's soccer team defeated 23rd-ranked Drury University on Sunday, Sep. 6 on the in Quincy, Illinois. The victory gives the Oilers a 1-1 record on the season.
The Panthers out-shot the Oilers by an 11-3 margin, but Findlay took advantage of their opportunities. Sophomore Ryan Husband took the advantage by finishing two of the Oilers three shots, scoring back-to-back goals in the second half to give Findlay a big non-conference victory.
Junior Joe McClanahan and seniors Veselin Panchev and Jordan Gozelski picked up assists as well.
The men's team plays their first conference game Friday, Sep. 11 at 4 pm against the Tiffin University Dragons in Tiffin, Ohio.
