Oilers Win 2-1 at Concord

The University of Findlay men's soccer team improved to 9-4-1 on the year with a 2-1 win at Concord on Oct. 20 in Athens, W. Va.

The Oilers trailed 1-0 at the break, but sophomore Ryan Husband punched in his seventh goal of the season to tie the game in the 55th minute. Husband found the back of the net off of a throw in. Sophomore Matt Williams and freshman Nathan Williams assisted on the goal.

In the 70th minute, senior Mark Sleasman scored his tenth goal of the season on a touch past the keeper. Freshman Michael Shaikly assisted on the play.

Sleasman's tenth goal on the year marks the first time a UF men's soccer player has scored double-digit goals in a season since Jacob Schramm scored 13 in 2005.

Freshman Ben Richter picked up the victory between the pipes with two saves.

The Oilers will host 8th-ranked Northwood on Friday at 3 p.m.
