Men's Soccer Loses 3-0 to 8th Ranked Northwood

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost 3-0 to 8th-ranked Northwood University on Friday, Oct. 23 at DeHaven Field.  The loss brings the Oilers record to 9-5-1 on the season with a 7-4-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Offensively the Oilers challenged Northwood with 8 shots against the Timberwolves. Senior Mark Sleasman shot on goal for the team.  Freshman Michael Shaikly and sophomore Nathan Williams also had shots for the Oilers. Sophomore goalkeeper Ben Richter made 5 pivotal saves in goal for the team.

Findlay is currently ranked third in the GLIAC at this point in the season with 22 points. The team has 2 games remaining before GLIAC Tournament play begins.  

The men play next on Sunday, Oct. 25 against 18th-ranked Saginaw Valley State University.The contest will begin at 12pm on DeHaven Field.
