Vienna, WV – The University of Findlay men's soccer team fell to G-MAC opponent Ohio Valley University in a 3-0 final on September 21. The loss is the first of the season for the Oilers, as they drop to a 5-1 overall record and 4-1 record in conference play.
The Oilers fell behind midway through the first half as the 18th-ranked Fighting Scots scored in the 25th and 27th minutes of the match. Findlay would go into halftime down 0-2, and a quick second half goal would lead to the final score in favor of Ohio Valley.
Junior Josh Burton would fire off the only three shots on goal for the Oilers. Findlay had five corner kick opportunities, and senior Ben Richter picked up three saves on the day.
The Oilers will be back on the field Saturday, September 23 when they travel to Cedarville to face the Yellow Jackets. The G-MAC matchup is set to kick-off at 1:00 PM.
