Elkins, WV – The University of Findlay men's soccer team fell to the Davis & Elkins Senators 0-3 in a G-MAC contest on Thursday, September 28. The loss drops the Oilers to a 6-2 overall record with a 5-2 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.
The first half of the match went scoreless, as the Oilers and Senators each attempted three shots. Findlay had three corner kick opportunities and two shots on goal.
The Senators went on to score three goals in the second period to bring the score to the 0-3 final.
The only Oilers to record shots on goal during the match were freshman Alex Kerstetter and freshman Jack Atkinson. Findlay committed 12 fouls and senior Ben Richter recorded five saves in the loss.
The Oilers will be back on the field on Saturday, September 30 when they travel to Alderson Broaddus for another G-MAC conference match. The contest is set to begin at 7:30 PM.
