Oilers Announce Wall of Fame Class

The University of Findlay soccer program announced their 2018 Wall of Fame class on July 24. Ali Weising, Tony McCormick, Jessica (Bencin) Monto and Dustin Robbins will be permanently honored with a plaque on the Oilers Soccer Wall of Fame during Findlay's doubleheader against Walsh University on Sep. 29 at DeHaven Field. The ceremony is tentatively scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Weising played for the Oilers from 1996-99 and graduated from Findlay in 2000 with a degree in recreation therapy. During her career, Weising played in 73 games and made 71 starts. She recorded 30 goals, 12 assists and a total of 72 points. She participated in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Tournament in 1996 and 1997 and was voted first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in 1998. Weising was also a member of the 1996 team that was inducted into the Wall of Fame in 2013.

McCormick played for the Oilers from 2001-05 and graduated in 2006 with a degree in business administration. He played in 68 games, making 67 starts. He scored 13 goals, had eight assists and recorded 34 points during his career. He was named second team all-GLIAC in 2003 and again in 2005 and captained the Oilers 2003 NCAA Division II Final 4 squad, earning a spot on the all-tournament team. McCormick was also inducted into the Wall of Fame in 2013 as a member of the Oilers 2003 team.

Monto played for the Oilers from 2000-01 and graduated in 2004 with a degree in business management. In just two seasons, Monto started 33 games, scored 19 goals and had 55 points. Her ten assists in 2001 is the second-highest total in school history. She was a first team all-GLIAC selection in 2000 and was named the GLIAC Freshman of the Year.

Robbins played for Findlay from 2001-05 and graduated with a degree in environmental, safety and occupational health management with an emphasis in industrial hygiene. He was voted first team all-GLIAC in 2001 when he posted a 13-2-2 record with a .831 save percentage. He earned second team all-league honors in 2005 and holds a school record for most career shutouts with 17. Robbins finished his career with 245 saves and a record of 35-14-7.
