Oilers Drop Season Opener at UIndy

Indianapolis, IN – The University of Findlay men's soccer team opened their season with 4-0 loss against the University of Indianapolis on Thursday, August 30. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-1 record while the Greyhounds improve to 1-0.

The Greyhounds took an early lead scoring the first goal of the match in the 19th minute. Findlay would go into half time down 0-1. In the second half, three more goals would give Indianapolis the 4-0 advantage over the Oilers.

Senior Josh Burton fired three shots while sophomore Marcel Munger and freshman Taylor Miles each had one a piece. In goal, senior Nathan Sier would take the loss with 6 saves.

The Oilers will be back in action on Saturday, September 1 at 5:00 PM against California (Pa.).
