Marietta, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's soccer team went on the road to compete against Ohio Valley University in the conference matchup on Thursday, October 17. The Oilers fell in the contest by a 4-0 final score making their record 7-4-1 (4-4-1) while the Fighting Scots move to 8-3-1 (6-2-1) on the season.

Ohio Valley controlled the game with three of their four goals coming in the first 20 minutes played. In the 4th and 9th minute, Hugo Kadima scored his two goals, then in the 19th minute, Nicolas Rodriguez put one to the back of the net as well. The final goal of the game came once again to the Fighting Scots when Javier Martin kicked in a goal in the 67th minute.

The Oilers were able to get 3 shots off and two shots on goal throughout the 90 minutes of play, two from junior Josh Hales and the other from junior Jack Atkinson. The total shots taken went in Ohio Valley's favor with a 22-3 margin.

Goalkeeper Garrett Arbogast ended the contest with 7 saves for the Oilers in his 45 minutes of play.

The Oilers will look to bounce back on Friday, September 25 at home when #5 in the nation, Lake Erie College comes to DeHaven for another Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup. The scheduled start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
