Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's soccer team took on no. 7 in the nation, Lake Erie College, on Friday, October 25. The Oilers went the distance with one of the nation's best, but fell just short in overtime, 1-0. The Oilers now move to 8-5-1 (5-5-1) and the Storm improve to 14-1-0 (10-1-0).

After 90 minutes filled with goal saves and tough defense for both teams, the game entered overtime at a 0-0 tie. Two minutes into overtime, the Oilers looked to make the upset happen when senior Josh Dickinson was one on one against the Storm goalkeeper. Dickinson just missed high on the possible game winner, and overtime continued.

Within a minute, Lake Erie charged down the other side of the field and from long distance, Javier Borreguero put one through the net to avoid the upset bid at DeHaven Field. The final score ended, 1-0 in Lake Erie's advantage.

For the Oilers, Dickinson led with four shots taken, freshman David Hug added two shots, and junior Jack Atkinson took one shot. Goalkeeper for the Oilers, freshman Garrett Arbogast, secured a game-high four saves on the afternoon.

The Oilers will play next on the road against Malone University in another conference matchup on Thursday, October 31. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
