Oilers Record Top GPA

The University of Findlay men's swimming and diving program recorded the highest GPA in the nation at the NCAA Division II level during the spring semester while the women's squad ranked fourth.

The men had a cumulative grade point average of 3.65, outdistancing Missouri University of Science and Technology who came in second at 3.35.

The women meanwhile recorded a GPA of 3.52.

Individually, Tim Andersson-Lind was an honorable mention Academic All-American for the men's team after finishing the semester with a 3.6 GPA.

Ailsa Hershaw was an Academic All-American on the women's side with a 3.87 GPA while Emily Thomas (4.0) and Jillian Herbst (3.52) earned honorable mention accolades.

To be named an Academic All-American you must have a GPA greater than 3.5 while qualifying for the national championship with a "A" time. Those who have a GPA greater than 3.5 and received a "B" time without qualifying for the national championship earn honorable mention status.
