Findlay Falls To Malone At Hillsdale

Results

The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in Hillsdale, Michigan, on Saturday, November 3, against Malone and Hillsdale. The men fell 118-62 to the Pioneers. The women fell to Hillsdale 135-105 and won against Malone 176-33.

David Conti won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:32.96 and was a member of the victorious 400 freestyle relay, along with Tim Andersson-Lind, Jay Clinger, and Garrett Gardner (3:35.28).

Diego Santos placed first in the 200 backstroke (2:06.05) and teammate Colton Sayers took the gold in the 500 free (5:09.92)

Annie Currin finished first in both the 1000 free (11:01.82) and 200 free (1:59.72). In addition, Currin, Jillian Herbst, Molly Cade, and Ailsa Hershaw captured silver in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:43.16.

Cade won the 200 fly with a time of 2:11.09 and Herbst took second in the 50 free (25.95).

The women's 400 medley relay, consisting of Cade, Isidora Yanez, Kaley Holmstrom, and Tanya Tikhonova, took gold with a time of 4:04.35.

Holmstrom was victorious in the 200 breast (2:29.41) and placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.54.

Ashleigh Weddington won the 3 meter dive with 220.25 points. Maddie Bell took second in both the 1 meter (221.40) and 3 meter (210.60) dives.

The Oilers will be back in the pool again on Friday, November 16th, at the Doug Coers Invitational in Muncie, Indiana.
