Oiler Women Defeat Ohio Wesleyan While The Men Come Up Short

The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed their meet against Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday, January 18 in Delaware, Ohio.  The women were victorious 127-95 while the men fell 124-76. 

On the women's side, the relay of Jessica Ward, Hannah Schreiber, Emily Annen and Ailsa Hershaw took first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:48.55.  Molly Cade teamed up with Ward, Annen and Hershaw to take first place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:05.69.  Cade won a pair of events, winning the 50-yard freestlye (25.28) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.63) while Ward won the 200-yard backstroke (2:11.34). 

Kaley Holmstrom was victorious in two events, winning the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.94) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:46.48). 

Ashleigh Weddington was a double winner on the boards with a score of 233.10 on the one meter and 238.10 on the three meter.

On the men's side, Todo Djurovic won a pair of events, winning the 400-yard individual medley (4:15.30) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:09.64). 

Colton Sayers won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:01.27. 

The Oilers will return to the pool on January 25 when they face Grand Valley State University in Ottawa, Michigan.
