Linden Hired as New Tennis Coach

Steven Rackley, director of athletics at The University of Findlay, announced the hiring of Doug Linden as the Oilers new men's and women's tennis coach on Aug. 21.

"I am happy to announce the hiring of Doug Linden, who will serve as our new tennis coach," said Rackley.  "He is a great addition to our staff and brings a lot of experience at various levels of competition."

Linden, who served as an assistant coach at Oberlin College last year, was the head coach at St. Mary Central High School in Sandusky, Ohio from 2008-12.

"I am excited to get started here at Findlay," said Linden.  "It will be good to meet the team and begin practicing for the season, which is coming up quickly."

Linden also worked as the head tennis professional at the Baywinds Athletic Club from 2010-12 and was a coach at the Competitive Training Center from 2010-11.

As a player, Linden won an Ohio state championship in doubles competition during the 1981 campaign.
