Oilers Come Up Short in GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay men's tennis team fell 5-1 to top-seeded Northwood University in the finals of the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament on April 27 in Midland, Mich.

The Oilers, who reached the finals as an eight-seed, picked up their only victory in #1 doubles competition as Robin Semal and Manuel Ringlstetter won 8-3.

The Oilers second place finish at the GLIAC Tournament is the highest placing in school history.

The loss dropped the Oilers record to 12-8 on the year, but they went 10-4 in their last 14 matches.
