Kidd Advances to Semis at ITA

The University of Findlay men's tennis team completed the second day of the ITA Midwest Regional on Sep. 20 in Indianapolis, Ind.

John Kidd advanced the semifinals in the "A" singles consolation bracket as he went 2-0 on Saturday. He came away with a 6-0, 6-7, 10-5 win over Tiffin's Agus Mangone before beating Missouri-St. Louis' Dario Vidaurre 6-0, 6-7, 10-5.  He will now prepare to battle McKendree's Maximilian Ilic for the right to reach the finals tomorrow.

Robin Semal and Kidd teamed to take down Lewis' Andre Norsaith and Mate Srdanovic by a score of 8-3 before they fell in their bid to reach the semifinals by an 8-3 against Lewis' Eric Aunapuu and Armand Levandi.

Semal also fell to Aunapuu in singles competition as he lost 6-1, 7-6 in the "A" singles tournament in the round of 32.
