Kidd Earns GLIAC Commissioner's Award

Recently graduated senior John Kidd was tabbed as a recipient of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Spring Commissioner's Award for his work on the tennis court and in the classroom. The award, sponsored by Meijer, Incorporated, are presented after the fall, winter and spring athletic seasons to six female and six male student-athletes that excel both in the classroom and on the fields of play.

Kidd carried a 3.99 grade point average while graduating with a degree in finance. He has been named to the GLIAC academic all-excellence team three times during his tenure with the Oilers and was a first team all-conference pick for his efforts on the tennis court during his senior season. An honorable mention all-league selection in 2014 and 2015, Kidd posted a 17-8 record in singles competition during the 2015-16 campaign and was 19-8 in doubles matches.

Kidd finished his career with 50 career singles victories and 56 more in doubles action.
