Oilers Complete Day 1 of Ashland Hidden Duals Tournament

The University of Findlay men's tennis team went 6-4 on the first day of the Ashland Hidden Dual Tournament in Ashland, Ohio on Oct. 12.

In A Draw singles competition, Jorge Barnuevo defeated Ashland's Jordan Phelps 3-1 before falling to Walsh's Jakob Riglewski 6-2. Alfredo Berlanga defeated Walsh's Pedro De Campos 2-0 before losing to Ashland's Stuart Brdicka 3-3. Ashland's Stuart Brdicka defeated Eduardo Munoz 6-2.

In B  Draw singles competition, Carlos Blanco claimed a 5-2 win over Ashland's Kun Teng Tche, while Sergio Palacio defeated Walsh's Joao De Campos 5-7, 7-5, 10-5, and then defeated Ashland's Colton Clark 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.

In C Draw singles competition, Trevor Majdalani defeated Ashland's Shivam Patel 3-3.

In A Draw Doubles, Walsh's J. De Campo and Puigmarti defeated Berlanga and Palacio 6-4.
