Bio

Jeff Westmeyer is entering his sixth season with the Oilers and his third as the head women's tennis coach in 2023-24.

The 2023 season was a historic one for the University of Findlay women's team. The Oilers captured their first ever conference title, defeating Northwood by a score of 4-0 in the Great Midwest Atheltic Conference Tournament Championship. Findlay's season ended in the NCAA Division II National Tournament with a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Drury. They finished their campaign with a 18-6 record, the most wins in program history.

In 2021-22, Westmeyer guided the Oilers to a 15-10 overall record. He led the team to their first ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season title with three all-conference selections. They would earn their first ever appearance in the NCAA DII National Tournament after finishing runner-up in the Great Midwest Tournament.  

In his first season as the head women's coach during the 2020-21 campaign, Westmeyer led the Oilers to a 9-4 record. Laiying Alvarado earned G-MAC Player of the Year honors under his watch and the Oilers also netted two, first team all-conference athletes and one, second team all-conference pick.

Westmeyer, who worked with the Oilers tennis program in 2018-19, has had a long career in the sport and served as an assistant at Michigan State University, the University of Toledo, and the University of Virginia. He has also served as a head coach at the prep level for Toledo Bowsher, Ottawa Hills, and Northville.

Prior to coming to Findlay, Westmeyer founded and served as director of Westmeyer Tennis in Dallas, Texas.
