11 Athletes from Track Earn All-Region Honors

The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their annual all-region awards on Feb. 25.  The Oilers men's and women's indoor track and field teams had 11 individuals capture the honor in 14 events.

On the men's side, Tim Sanders earned all-region honors in both the 60-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay while Dillon Webster captured all-region accolades in the 800-meter run and 4x400-meter relay.

Glen Forsythe (triple jump), Darren Johnson (4x400), Taylor Miller (shot put), Corey Shank (pole vault), Michael Travis (4x400), Marcus Vicars (shot put) also earned all-region honors in their respective events.

On the women's side, Jessica Rowland was named all-region in the shot put and weight throw while Kendra Averesch (shot put) and Pam Showman (pentathlon) also claimed all-region honors.
