Rowland Earns Top Spot In Hammer Throw At Sea Ray Relays

The University of Findlay men and women's track and field had multiple athletes compete in the hammer throw on Thursday, April 11 at the Sea Ray Relays Knoxville, Tenn.

Jessica Rowland won the women's hammer throw with an NCAA automatic qualifying toss of 189'10, narrowly missing her own school record of 201'09.

Derrick Vicars took tenth in the men's hammer throw with an NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 190'11, while Marcus Vicars finished 23rd with a mark of 169'05.

The team will continue with day two of the Sea Ray Relays tomorrow, and begin day one of the All-Ohio Championship in Athens, Ohio.
