16 Track Athletes Earn All-Region Honors

The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams had 16 individuals earn all-Midwest Region honors as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their yearly honors on March 5.

Dillon Webster earned all-region honors in the 800-meter run and shared the honor in the distance medley relay with Justin Eilerman, Jacob Hayes and Kyle Smithey.

In addition the men saw Demorrio Leggett (triple jump), Marcus Vicars (shot put), Justin Welch (weight throw) and Alexander Zolotoglavyy (long jump) earn all-region honors in their events as well.

Adrianna Powell-Lawrence earned all-region accolades in two events to lead the women's squad as she captured the honors in the 400-meter run and 4x400-meter relay.  She shared the honor in the 4x400 with Kirsten Gaerke, Maud Sanmiquel and Shelby Stump.

Lydia Guagenti (high jump), Kendra Averesch (shot put), Lilia Malyarova (triple jump) and Pam Showman (pentathlon) also earned all-region in their respective events as well.
