10 Track Athletes Tabbed All-Region

The University of Findlay men and women's outdoor track and field teams had ten individuals earn all-region accolades, which were released by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on May 12.

The women's team had six student-athletes earn the honor while the men had four.

On the men's side, Justin Welch was named all-region in both the hammer throw and discus while Dillon Webster earned all-region status in the 800-meter run.

Demorrio Leggett (triple jump) and Alexander Zolotoglavyy (long jump) also received all-region honors in their respective events.

On the women's side, Kendra Averesch was tabbed all-region in the shot put and Alex DeVincentis earned the accolade in the discus.

Samantha Grippe (800-meter), Lydia Guagenti (high jump), Maud Sanmiquel (400-meter hurdles) and Pam Showman (heptathlon) were also selected as all-region athletes.
