Oilers Place 7th At GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2010 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship on Saturday, November 6 in Hillsdale, Michigan. The men's team finished seventh with 207 points while the women took ninth with 241 points.

On the men's side, Shoayb Bascal (26:19.8) and Sean Jones (26:26.3) led the team by placing 31st and 34th, respectively.

Jordan Kirwen (26:46.7), Justin Eilerman (26:50.5), Brock Lloyd (27:04.3), Tim Majoy (27:06.2), Joe Guerra (28:06.1), Luis Velasco (29:05.4), Colin Walthour (29:40.3) and Alex Betts (30:25.1) also competed for the Oilers at the championship event.

On the women's side, Rachel Hosie (22:33.9) and Alexa Stults (23:35.2) led the team by placing 45th and 46th, respectively.

Brier Sterling (23:38.2), Katherine McHenry (23:42.2), Abigail Magner (23:57.6), Lindsey Schmitmeyer (24:17.7), Catherine Wiemers (24:24.4), Stephanie Charnigo (24:28.2), Erica Goeltzenleuchter (24:36.5) and Christine Zimmermann (25:27.5) also competed for Findlay at the event.
