Cross Country Completes Ohio Wesleyan Invitational

The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams completed the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8th in Powell, Ohio.

For the men, Justin Eilerman led the Oilers taking first in the event with a time of 25:29.79. Tim Majoy also had a solid day finishing fourth with a time of 25:47.98.

Other finishers for the Oilers included Jacob Hayes (26:37.43), Joe Guerra (27:54.58), Luis Velasco (28:01.70), Alex Betts (28:48.14), Brock Lloyd (29:04.44), Derek Bornorst (29:06.50), Connor Walthour (29:20.28), and Nick Valerio (31:52.12).

As a team, the men placed fourth overall with 104 total points.

On the women's side, Alexa Stults and Abigail Magner led the Oilers finishing 22nd (20:01.2) and 23rd (20:02.0), respectively.

Other finishers were Samantha Hassen (20:10.1), Rachel Hosie (20:38.4), Samantha Grippe (20:53.7), Kayla Sendelbach (21:02.3), Erica Bettac (21:08.6), Meredith Hoops (21:31.1), McKenzie Mahmeister (21:31.8), and Deidre Latham (21:38.5).

As a team, the women placed fourth with 115 total points.

The cross country teams will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 14th when the travel to Lansing, Mich. for the Spartan Invitational.
