Oilers Complete 2012 GLIAC Championship

Women's Results

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Midland, Mich.  The men's team finished ninth with 241 points while the women's team took 11th place with a total of 327 points.

Tim Majoy led the men's team by placing 15th with time of 24:51.6 while Justin Eilerman crossed the finish line in 25:05.5, good for 20th place at the event.

Majoy's mark tied the school record for fastest time as he now shares the honor with Mike Kempf, who set the record on Nov. 1, 1975.

Jacob Hayes (25:47.1), Joe Guerra (26:40.2), Luis Velasco (26:47.1) and Brock Lloyd (27:22.5) also competed for Findlay at the event.

Samantha Hassen led the women with a time of 22:46, which was good enough for 43rd at the meet.

Alexa Stults (23:23), Abigail Magner (23:31.7), Erica Bettac (23:46.9), Rachel Hosie (23:51.5) and Kayla Sendelbach (24:12.6) also ran for Findlay.
