GLIAC Announces Academic Excellence Teams

The GLIAC office announced the Spring 2011 All-Academic Excellence Teams. To be eligible for recognition, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first-year transfer.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announces the recipients of the Spring 2011 Meijer Commissioner’s Awards. The awards, sponsored by Meijer, Incorporated, are presented after the Fall, Winter, and Spring athletic seasons to six male and six female student-athletes that excel both in the classroom and on the fields of play.

The University of Findlay softball team lost a one-game set with Hillsdale College on Monday, May 2 by a score of 1-0 in Hillsdale, Michigan. The loss eliminates the Oilers from participating in the conference tournament as they end their season with a 23-24-1 record with an 11-21 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
