Oilers Win 2 More On Spring Trip
The University of Findlay softball team won a pair of games on Monday, March 7 in Savannah, Georgia. The Oilers defeated Malone 8-0 and then came away with a 6-1 victory against Brewton Parker. The wins give the Oilers a 4-0 record on the season.
In the first game, Jaci Messmer went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer in the second inning while Tori Allen went 3-for-3 with three runs-batted-in and two runs scored.
Lauren Orban picked up the win after holding Malone scoreless in four innings of work.
In the second game, Courtney Dwyer drove in two and finished 2-for-3 at the plate while Tawna Whited picked up the win after posting four scoreless innings.
Brittany Dauterman earned a save, allowing one run in three innings of action.
The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow against Savannah State in a twin bill beginning at 1 pm.
