Warriors Top Oilers In Twin Bill

The University of Findlay softball team was swept by Wayne State University on Wednesday, April 20 at Anderson Field. The Oilers lost the first game 14-10 and then fell 9-0 in the second contest to give them an 18-18-1 record on the season with a 6-15 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

In the first game, Brittany Dauterman finished 3-for-4 at the plate with four runs-batted-in, but took the loss after allowing six runs on five hits in 2.2 innings of work.

In the second game, the Warriors scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to claim the victory as Jackie Messersmith allowed nine runs, only four earned, on 11 hits in 4.2 innings of action.

Dauterman, Jenna Motuza, Emily Reynolds and Courtney Dwyer each had a hit for Findlay.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 22-23 at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio for a pair of twin bills.
