The University of Findlay softball team swept a twin bill against Concordia University on Monday, March 19 in Ann Arbor, Mich.  The wins give the Oilers an 8-5 record on the season.

In the first game, the Oilers scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to claim a 6-3 win as Jackie Messersmith went 3-for-4 with three runs-batted-in.

Tawna Whited picked up the win by allowing three runs on four hits in eight innings of work.  She also walked six and struck out six in the game.

Grace Ammons threw a four-hit shutout in the second game as the Oilers came away with a 7-0 victory.

Ammons went the distance and struck out three batters in the game.

Brittany Dauterman went 3-for-3 while Tori Allen was 2-for-4 with three runs-batted-in.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 23 when they host Ferris State University in a doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m.
