The University of Findlay softball team lost a pair of games at home against #18 Grand Valley State University on Sunday, March 25. The Oilers fell 9-2 in the first game and then lost 14-1 in the second game to give them an 11-8 mark on the 2012 season and a 3-3 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Courtney Dwyer and Lauren Mathias had an RBI each as five Oilers produced solo hits in game one.

Tawna Whited took the loss, giving up seven runs on six hits. Oiler starter Brittany Dauterman allowed three walks and two runs while generating two strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.

In the second game, Grace Ammons was saddled with the loss after allowing 14 runs on 17 hits in four frames on the mound.

Dwyer went 2-for-3 at the plate as pinch runner Lindsay Hamiliton was the lone Oiler to cross the plate.

The Oilers will host Notre Dame College for a doubleheader on Wednesdsay, March 28, starting  at 3:30 p.m.
