Ohio Dominican Sweeps Findlay

The University of Findlay softball team lost a pair of away games at Ohio Dominican University on Saturday, April 21. The Oilers fell 5-4 in the first game and 9-4 in the second contest. With the losses, Findlay drops to 22-23 overall with a 13-17 mark in conference action.

Tawna Whited took the loss in game one, giving up one run on three hits and two walks in 2.1 innings of work. Starting pitcher Brittany Dauterman allowed four runs on six hits and fanned four batters.

Carly Borders, Lauren Mathias, and Whited each had two hits in the opener as Courtney Dwyer produced two runs-batted-in.

In the second game, Grace Ammons was saddled with the loss after allowing eight runs on ten hits in four innings on the mound.

Jenna Motuza, Tori Allen, and Lindsay Hamilton each generated two base hits in the second game. Hamilton and Dwyer had one RBI apiece.

The Oilers will host Tiffin University for a twinbill on Tuesday, April 24, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
