Oilers Rank 6th in NFCA GPA

The University of Findlay softball team was ranked 6^th by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for the 2011-2012 season while recording a team grade point average of 3.503. The Oilers have earned a spot in the top 10 five times in the last decade, including a first-place in 2002-03, a second-place in 2003-04 and a fifth-place in 2010-11

Leading the NCAA DII category was Grand Canyon University at 3.600, followed by Wilmington University at 3.546 and Pace University at 3.527. Ashland University was ranked 11^th with a team GPA of 3.431 and Wayne State University placed 16^th with a 3.402. Ohio Dominican University 19^th) and Ferris State University (24^th) also appeared in the top 25.
