The University of Findlay softball team swept Concordia University - Ann Arbor in a doubleheader on Friday, March 22. The Oilers won the first game 5-3 and beat the Cardinals 25-7 in the second contest to give them a 10-2 record on the season.

Brittany Dauterman picked up the win in the lid lifter, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks. Dauterman fanned five batters on her four innings on the mound.

Dauterman also generated three hits in the first game, including two doubles and a home run along with three RBI. Emily Reynolds also homered in the opener.

In the second contest, Tawna Whited collected her fourth win of the 2013 campaign with five strikeouts and allowing no walks from the mound.

The Oilers scored 25 runs on 14 hits and 15 walks in the second contest.

Jackie Messersmith went 3-for-3 at the plate in game two as well as scoring five runs. Dauterman and Morgan Arnold each homered in the night cap while Dauterman produced six RBI.

Findlay will host Hillsdale College for a doubleheader tomorrow, March 23. The GLIAC game is slated for 1 p.m. at Anderson Field.
