Oilers Softball 7th in Regional Rankings

The University of Findlay softball team is seventh in the first NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings, which was released on Friday, April 19.

The Oilers have never been ranked in the region at the NCAA Division II level and are one of five teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to appear in the poll.

Findlay has a 21-9 overall record this season and they sport a 9-7 record in conference play.  The Oilers have also won seven straight games and will be at home for their next four before closing the regular season out on the road with games at Ferris State and Grand Valley State, who is the second-ranked team in the region.

The top eight teams in the final poll will compete in the regional tournament, which begins on May 15.
