Borders Named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week

Senior Carly Borders of the Oilers softball team was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, April 22.

Borders led the Oilers to a perfect 8-0 record last week by hitting .454.  She drove in 13 runs during the week and scored 12 more.  She also hit three home runs, recorded three triples and walked five times. 

The Lake Villa, Ill. native is hitting .347 on the season with eight home runs and 33 runs batted in.  She also leads the conference with 23 walks.
