The University of Findlay softball team dropped both games at Ferris State on Friday, April 26. The Oilers fell 2-0 in both games against the Bulldogs. With the losses, Findlay drops to 25-11 overall with a 13-9 mark in conference action.

Brittany Dauterman took the loss in the opener as she gave up two runs on six hits in six innings of work.

Courtney Dwyer went 2-for-3 at the plate. Four Oilers each generated one hit in game one as 11 batters were struck out by Ferris State's Dana Bowler.

Game two started the first six innings with a 0-0 tie. The Bulldogs had three hits in the top of the 7th to score two unanswered runs as the Oilers picked up their 11th loss of the 2013 campaign. Jenna Motuza, Tori Allen and Emily Reynolds each produced two hits.

Tawna Whited was saddled for the loss in the second game. In her seven innings on the mound, Whited gave up two runs on seven hits while fanning two batters.

The Oilers will travel to Grand Valley State tomorrow for their last doubleheader of the regular season. The twinbill will start at 2 p.m.
