The University of Findlay softball team lost 7-0 to Illinois-Springfield on Feb. 22 in Rosemont, Ill. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-4 record on the season.
Jenna Motuza took the loss on the mound after allowing five runs in three innings of work. Bonnie Zappitelli came on in relief and pitched the final four frames, allowing two runs to go along with ten strikeouts.
The Oilers only had one hit during the game, which came from Allyssa Kashat who smoked a triple.
The Oilers will now prepare for their trip to Clermont, Fla., which runs from March 3-8.
