Turner, Stewart to Play Against Team USA

Megan Turner and Emily Stewart, former softball players at The University of Findlay, will be a part of the Ohio College All-Stars when they compete against Team USA on July 14 at Marathon Diamonds.

Both players ended their careers in the spring and helped lead the Oilers to a 26-23 record. Turner earned honorable mention all-conference accolades for Findlay in 2015 after posting a .292 with three home runs and 24 runs batted in. Stewart meanwhile hit .276 with one home run and 18 runs batted in.

The group of college all-stars will consist of players from the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, The Ohio State University, Cleveland State University, the University of Dayton, Akron University, Kent State University and Ashland University. The team will be coached by Youngstown State University head coach Brian Campbell. He will be assisted by former UF skipper, Ron Ammons, and assistant coach, Tim Babcock.

The two teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are available here.
