Trumpler Earns GLIAC Player of the Week

GLIAC Release

Findlay, OH – On Monday, March 21, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) named Oilers junior Lauren Trumpler as the Week 4 Softball Player of the Week. This is the second time Trumpler has earned the award in her career.

The Tiffin, Ohio native had an outstanding week at the plate to help guide the Orange and Black to a 4-2 record this past week. She finished the week with a batting average of .571 (12-for-22) and had at least one hit in every game, including three hits in each of the last two games. Trumpler scored two runs and knocked in 11 RBI. Her slugging percentage of .857 was helped by the four extra base hits in the week, including a homerun against Madonna on Saturday.

The Oilers next contest is scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 at Lourdes College.
