The University of Findlay softball team swept a doubleheader against Lake Erie College on March 25 in Painesville, Ohio. The Oilers won the first game 11-2 and then captured a 3-2 victory in the second to improve to 13-14 on the season. The wins also give them a 4-0 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

In game one, Hailey Bryan picked up the victory by allowing only two runs on three hits in five innings of work. She received great support from her offense that churned out 11 runs on ten hits.

Amanda Delmonte went 2-for-3 with a run scored while Rebecca Harvey and Salwa Al-Hajabed each recorded two hits and drove in a run.

Destinie Keeton scored a two runs and drove in one while Brooke Otto did the same.

Caragyn Yanek picked up the victory on the mound in the second game by allowing only one earned run in seven innings of action. She gave up three hits and recorded seven strikeouts.

Al-Hajabed plated two runs while Allison Brunner and Delmonte recorded two hits apiece.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 31 when they host Ohio Valley University for a twin bill beginning at 1pm.
