Oilers Lose To Grand Valley State

The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed their meet against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rival Grand Valley State University on Saturday, January 24 in Allendale, Michigan.  The women lost 196-88 while the men fell 225-56. 

On the women's side, Jessica Ward claimed a first place victory in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 58.55 and took third place in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:10.37. 

Molly Cade won the 200 yard butterfly event with a time of 2:09.50 and won the 100 yard butterfly event with a time of 58.73.  Cade also took third place in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.59.    

Kaley Holmstrom won the 200 yard breaststroke event with a time of 2:28.60 and took second place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.81.  Holmstrom also took second place in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:13.31.   

Emma Barnes took second place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:17.47 and took third place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.74. 

The relay team of Barnes, Cade, Ward and Annie Currin took second place in the 800 yard freestyle relay with a time of 8:06.69. 

On the men's side, Janko Radmanovic won the 200 yard butterfly event with a time of 1:54.86 and took third place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 52.31. 

Todo Djurovic claimed second place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.07 and took second place in the 200 yard individual medley event with a time of 2:00.76.  Djurovic also took third place in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:16.31.    

Graham Copus took third place in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:19.40. 

Graham Rossi took fourth place on the one meter board with a final score of 159.82 and took second place on the three meter board with a final score of 212.92. 

The relay team of Radmanovic, Clay Fogle, Cody Craig and Nick Kaftan took second place in the 800 yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:28.10.
