Swimming Wraps Up Day 3 at GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed day 3 of the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Friday, February 13 in Jenison, Michigan.  After completing day 3 the women's team is in fourth place with 279 points and the men's team is in sixth place with 207 points.      

On the women's side, Emma Barnes claimed a second place finish in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:58.96.  Her second place finish set a new school record and achieved an NCAA "B" cut mark.

Jessica Ward took second place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 55.58.  Her second place finish set a new school record and marked an NCAA "B" cut. 

Kaley Holmstrom took fifth place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.29.  Her fifth place finish marked an NCAA "B" cut. 

Molly Cade took fifth place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.33.  Her fifth place finish marked an NCAA "B" cut.  Kyleigh Rubis took sixteenth place in the same event with a time of 2:14.85. 

The relay team of Barnes, Ward, Holmstrom and Cade took fifth place in the 800 yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:44.26.  Their fifth place finish marked an NCAA "B" cut. 

On the men's side, Janko Radmanovic claimed a second place finish in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:48.64.  His second place finish set a new school record and marked an NCAA "B" cut. 

Todo Djurovic took ninth place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 57.91. 

Clay Fogle took sixteenth place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 55.37. 

The relay team of Radmanovic, Djurovic, Fogle and Nick Kaftan took fourth place in the 800 yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:54.30. 

The GLIAC Championships will conclude tomorrow with the first session starting at 10:30 A.M.
