6 Qualify for NCAA DII Championship

The University of Findlay men and women's swimming and diving teams had six individuals qualify for the 2016 NCAA Division II National Championship, which will be held on March 8-12 in Indianapolis, Ind.

The women had five qualify for the event. Senior Kaley Holmstrom will be at the event competing in the 200-yard IM and 200-yard medley relay while fellow senior Jessica Ward will take part in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard medley relay.

Holmstrom is a four-time NCAA Division II All-American while Ward is a two-time All-American.

Junior Meri Cizmar qualified in the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard medley relay while freshman Amanda Stiegal also made the cut in the 200-yard medley relay.

Freshman Madison Tanis was the fifth Oiler to qualify and will compete in the diving portion of the event.

On the men's side, sophomore Janko Radmanovic qualified to compete at the highest level in the 200-yard butterfly. Radmanovic was tabbed an All-American in the event last year.
