Ward, Cizmar and Radmanovic Earn All-American Honors at Nationals

The men and women's swimming and diving teams raced another day in the pool on the fourth day of Division II National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.  Both teams have collected several record breaking finishes and All-American titles over the last several days of competition. The men are currently ranked twenty-third overall in the team standings while the women hold a reputable fifteenth place in the team standings.

Senior Jessica Ward added another All-American title to her career in the women's 100 yard backstroke.  Ward swam a preliminary time of 54.70 beating her current school record time of 55.01. The senior finished fourth overall in the event with a finals time of 54.90. Junior Meri Cizmar also placed tenth in the women's 100 yard backstroke to earn All-American accolades.  Cizmar reached a time of 55.55 in the finals.

Sophomore Janko Radmanovic continued to add records to his career in the pool with today's competition.  Radmanovic earned another All-American title with his third place finish in the men's 200 yard butterfly.  The sophomore swam a 1:45.96 final time to beat the current school record of 1:51.53.  Radmanovic has clenched several All-American titles and school records over the course of these championships.

The men and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in the final day of Division II National Championships Saturday, March 12.  Competition will begin at 10:30am in Indianapolis, IN.
