Cizmar Breaks School Record | Earns All-American

Birmingham, AL – University of Findlay swimmer Meri Cizmar participated in her first individual event of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday, March 10.

In her preliminary race, Cizmar, an all-American in four events last season, set a new University of Findlay record in the 100 yard backstroke. She touched the wall in 54.22 to set the new mark and qualified for the finals in the event. In the finals, Cizmar took eighth place to earn first team all-American, her sixth all-American award since becoming a member of the Oilers.

She will look to add to her success as she participates tomorrow, March 11 in the 200 yard backstroke.
